Using ecology to help manage dolphins and their ecosystems
Researchers are using aerial surveys, distance sampling, population genetics and spatial modelling as the basis of their research to better understand the ecology of common dolphins in SA. More....

Breakthrough in breeding of commercial bluefin tuna
A world leading attempt by Clean Seas Tuna in South Australia to commercially breed southern bluefin tuna has overcome a major hurdle by successfully transferring its young fish to sea cages (story in The Australian, March 15, 2011). Link to The Australian website.
Mussel myth busting
